Hello, my name is Jay Banghart. I am the owner and founder of Legacy Martial Arts. Taekwondo has influenced my life profoundly in many ways and it was always a dream to own my own school. That dream became a reality in 2006, when we opened Legacy Martial Arts. Since then we have been committed to prevent bullying, build leaders, and promote healthy habits in our community in Everett County.

MARTIAL ARTS IS NOT JUST A SPORT!

Martial arts allows for students to live in the moment of what they are doing. When training on the mat students focus on the tasks at hand and pushing themselves past their limits. In a world that allows for much instant gratification, martial arts allows for students to work towards and feel the full reward of their accomplishments. 

Students at Legacy Martial Arts come in all shapes and sizes. Students learn skills in martial arts that they take into their every day lives. Each member has their own special story:

• Families come together through martial arts. Parents find that training with their children creates a special bond that both parent and child will cherish forever.
• Martial Arts teaches children that there are things in life worth working hard for. Many of our students learn life skills such as discipline and respect then use these skills in their education. As a result many martial art students end up and prestigious universities thanks to the focus and discipline they developed while training.
• There is a sense of pride when learning martial arts. Many of our students become so inspired in their training that they take the next step of training to become instructors. These leadership skills translate directly into communication skills that they utilize as they go on through their years of schooling and career.
